An avid reader (that’s you!) subscribed to a cozy mystery newsletter, lured by promises of free bookish goodies, behind-the-scenes secrets, and sneak peeks galore. But then… nothing. Not a single email in sight. Not in the inbox. Not in drafts. Vanished.
Where did the messages go?
It turns out, email gatekeepers—code name: Google, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.—sometimes shuffle perfectly innocent emails into dark alleys with names like Spam, Junk Mail, or Promotions. (Sounds like the kind of place our sleuths avoid after sunset, doesn’t it?)
🔍 Your Mission: Help rescue my emails from their mysterious fate and bring them safely into your inbox, where they belong!
Here’s what you can do:
- If my email isn’t in your inbox, check your spam/junk mail/ promotions tab for an email from emily@emilyoberton.com
- If you’re using Gmail on a computer, just add me to your contacts. Hover over my name at the top of an email from me in your inbox. A little box will pop up—click the small plus icon to add me to your Contacts. (Think of it as issuing me a shiny detective’s badge.)
- If you’re on a phone or using another email provider (Yahoo, Outlook, etc.), don’t worry—I’ve assembled all the clues and step-by-step instructions for you right here.
